You make a report
Sign in with Discord, choose the server and the category, describe what happened and add any evidence. Some categories require you to be a member of the server, which we check with Discord.
An examiner takes the case
An examiner claims the case, or a senior examiner assigns it. Examiners declare any conflict of interest before they look at anything, and a conflicted examiner loses access to the case.
The case is examined
The examiner reviews the evidence and may ask you for more information. You'll be notified on the website and by Discord message.
A decision is issued
One examiner issues a reasoned decision: what is established, what is disputed, what lacks evidence, and any action that is required or recommended.
Any sanction is applied
If a required sanction is within what the server has delegated, Revyu staff can ask the bot to apply it. It is only shown as applied once Discord has confirmed it.
The decision can be challenged
Either the reporter or the person reported may challenge the decision. A different reviewer handles each challenge.
Each decision may be challenged twice at most. A second challenge can only be made once the first has been closed, and it should explain precisely where the first review went wrong. Challenges must be made within 30 days of the most recent decision.
If a decision contains a technical error, raises a security concern or conflicts with a binding obligation, a founder may issue a correction. Corrections are clearly labelled, recorded with their reason, and are never used as a hidden third appeal.
Revyu cannot help in an emergency. If anyone is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services. Illegal content should be reported to Discord Trust & Safety and to the relevant authorities.
