Members
Report a problem in a participating server, add evidence, follow the case, and challenge the decision if they disagree.
Examiners
Revyu staff with no stake in the server. One examiner decides each case and signs it with their name. Members can rate how their case was handled.
Server owners
Choose to take part, add the bot, accept the agreement, and receive the decisions that concern their server.
Founders
Look after the platform: they appoint staff, set policy and deal with security issues. They do not overrule decisions.
When a complaint concerns a server's own staff, members are understandably reluctant to let the same staff judge it. Participating servers hand those decisions to Revyu, and agree in writing to respect the parts of a decision that are required of them.
Revyu decides whether a reported problem took place, and whether it breaks the server's rules or Revyu's standards. A decision may require an action the server has delegated to the bot, or recommend anything else. Recommendations are always the owner's decision.
Owners may revoke a sanction applied in their server at any time. They are asked to give a written reason, which is kept on record. Repeated revocations lead to a compliance review under published rules.
