Privacy policy
What Revyu collects, why we collect it, and how long we keep it. This is a draft awaiting legal review.
What we collect
- From Discord when you sign in: your user ID, username, display name, avatar and the list of servers you own. We discard your Discord access token as soon as we have read these.
- What you send us: reports, messages, evidence files, links, text and any ratings you give staff.
- Operational records: sessions, notifications and whether they were delivered, and an audit log of sensitive actions.
Why we collect it
To examine reports, issue and apply decisions, keep you informed, prevent misuse, and keep a verifiable record of how each decision was reached.
Who can see it
- Your reports and evidence: you, and the staff assigned to your case. Each access to evidence is logged.
- If you choose to stay anonymous, examiners see “Anonymous reporter”. Revyu's founders can always see who made a report, and each time they do it is recorded.
- Server owners see the decisions that concern their server, but never your identity, your evidence or staff notes.
- The person you reported sees the decision concerning them, but never your identity or your evidence.
- Ratings of staff are public but never show who gave them.
- The public sees only overall statistics, with small numbers hidden.
How long we keep it
Evidence files are deleted at the end of their retention period (365 days by default), once the case is decided or closed and no challenge is open. Their fingerprints are kept, so past decisions can still be verified. Decisions and audit records are kept to protect the integrity of the record.
Your choices
In Settings you can turn Discord messages off, download your data, or ask for your account to be deleted. Deletion requests are handled by a founder. Any open cases need to be closed first, and records needed to keep past decisions verifiable are anonymised rather than erased.
